JPlus - TRIPOLAR
JPlus' 6th solo album explores the three personas J has created to survive his childhood in the post-industrial urban ghetto. Jessie is a hopeful, intelligent young man who wants to have the same opportunity to succeed, regardless of color, creed or culture. JPlus is entrepreneurial and confidentthe Urban Kingwhose street-smarts allow him to escape the toils of the ghetto. Muzzle Off is the third, the darkest, and most ruthless, the metabolite of societal churning: he is a hateful monster who stews in blameblame towards a world that stole his humanity and forced a personal choice between poverty or violent crime.
Sin-City - SINEMATIC
The art of captivation is no mystery to virtuoso rap artist and poet Sin-City (Matthew Sincere Benson). The heart-wrought raw vocals found in his first solo release, "SINEMATIC", reveal the depth of his upbringing, and reflect the voices of those silenced by their troubles. A cross between Barry White and Flesh-n-Bone, Sin-City speaks his soul with rapid-fire, rhythmic, subwoofer-pulsating lyrics. But the content is truly his own listening to Sin is like witnessing an artists brushwork on a canvas with no borders. Sin-Citys music is edgy, hard, real, modern, post-modern, and terrifyingly insightful. His do or die mentality was shaped by his nomadic poverty and mothers addiction battles, which should have led to a long life of crime. But after a stint in jail, Sin overcame and proved that hes not just another Statistic, having found a better way with music. Definitely not the snoozin type (Lets Ride), Sin rises to entertain and enlighten
and not even a Roman could hold a candle to the fire he spits in Hatin. Dont hesitate to take a chance on Sin-Citys poetic genius; be assured that the odds will be ever in your favor.
